Fans at Crystal Palace were treated to a special 4x100m relay race at the weekend, as some of Britain’s athletics legends – including Olympic medallists Jason Gardener, John Regis, Jamie Baulch and Katharine Merry – took part in the Aviva Legends Relay. John Regis was victorious and beat his old rivals to the post.

The charity relay is now in its third year, and sees the athletics greats each head up teams made up of some of their sport’s junior stars.

The relay is in aid of the Railway Children charity, which aims to help the 100,000 children living on UK streets as well as Aviva’s Street to School programme.
